About Us

Christina is a master of massage and bodywork, practitioner of  Āyurveda, and doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She holds a doctorate from the Pacific College of Health and Science. She also attended the Vedic Vidya Institute from 2004-2011, studying  Jyotisha, Vāstu, Āyurveda, Sanskrit, and Patañjali’s Rāj Yoga Sūtras, under the mentoring guidance of renowned jyotishi and vedic practitioner Hart de Fouw (disciple of Krishan Mantri).  Her studies in Ayurveda culminated in advanced clinical training under Dr. Vasant Lad in gurukulam at the Vasanta Institute of Ayurveda in Pune, India. She is also a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, holding a degree in Sanskrit and South Asian studies.

Her love for the eastern healing traditions  took root in 2000 while working and attending classes at the Āyurvedic Institute in New Mexico. There, she completed the Āyur-Yoga program together with clinical training in panchakarma, as well as a bodywork and massage program at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics . She later attended several advanced courses of study with Dr. Vasant Lad in marma point therapy and pulse reading.  Her interest in healing also led her to graduate studies in integrative herbal medicine at the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (AOMA) from 2012-2014.

Christina provides acupuncture, massage and bodywork, Āyurvedic panchakarma, Jyotisha readings, herbs, and lifestyle guidance by appointment at Desha. She also leads restorative yoga and meditation classes. Christina is a licensed acupuncturist through the state of California and is accredited through the California Massage Therapy Board (CAMT) and NAMA (National Āyurvedic Medicine Association). Bryan is an experienced vedic astrologer (Jyotisha), Vāstu practitioner, and master bodywork therapist. He received tutelage from renowned jyotishi and Vedic practitioner Hart de Fouw from 2001-2011. In addition, Bryan attended the Vedic Vidya Institute from 2004-2011, studying the gamut of classical Indian subjects.

While studying at the Vedic Vidya Institute,  Bryan assisted in teaching Hart’s highly successful Jyotisha Trilogy courses, presenting in class and co-teaching study groups with Aletha de Fouw. He also had the honor of sitting on the board of the Vedic Vidya Institute as Vice President from 2007-2010.

Along with his interest in metaphysical subjects, Bryan is a lifetime student of Vedānta. He had the privilege of meeting his Vedānta teacher Shri Swāmi Dayānanda Saraswati in 2007.

Bryan is accredited through ACVA (American College of Vedic Astrology) since 2006. Bryan offers Jyotisha readings at Desha and by phone, as well as on-site Vāstu consultations and bodywork treatments by appointment. Contact: bryantarin@gmail.com
